Why isn't my case listed?
If you cannot find a hearing on a published list, it does not necessarily mean something is wrong.
Common reasons
- Lists are only published at certain times. A hearing may not be on a list yet. See when are court lists published?.
- The hearing is not public. Youth court hearings, some family cases and some other hearings are not published in full, or at all.
- Names are withheld. Public lists often show limited information. This website never shows or stores defendant names.
- You are looking at the wrong court or the wrong list type. Crown Court and magistrates’ court lists are separate. See our list explainers.
- The date has changed. Listings can move at short notice.
What to do
Check your court paperwork. If you are still unsure, contact the court named on it, or your solicitor. Do not rely on a website to tell you whether you must attend.
