Court list types explained
- Crown Daily List – The list of cases the Crown Court expects to hear on a given day, organised by courtroom.
- Crown Firm List – Cases that have been given a fixed ("firm") date for a hearing or trial, published ahead of time.
- Crown Warned List – Cases that may be called on at short notice during a given period, usually trials without a fixed start time.
- Magistrates Public List – The public list of cases a magistrates' court expects to hear on a given day.
- Magistrates Standard List – A fuller list used by magistrates' courts. Some details may be limited for privacy.
- Single Justice Procedure lists – Lists for minor offences dealt with by a single magistrate, usually without a hearing in public.
- Civil Daily Cause List – Civil hearings scheduled in a court on a given day.
- Family Daily Cause List – Family hearings scheduled on a given day. Most family hearings are private, so detail is limited.
