Accessibility statement
Last reviewed 5 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use UK Court Listings, including people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Light and dark colour schemes, which follow your device setting and can be switched with the button in the header.
- Text that resizes and reflows to small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap. Colour is never the only way information is shown: hearing types, restrictions and masked names are always written out.
- Animation is kept minimal and respects your "reduce motion" setting.
- Hearing lists are plain HTML that works without JavaScript, with a case reference search and tap-to-expand details.
Known limits
- We have not had an independent accessibility audit yet.
- Hearing lists reproduce the official wording, which can include abbreviations and legal terms. Our list explainers and decoder help.
- If you choose to load a map, it is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. Every court page also gives the address and a directions link.
- Links to official government pages are outside our control.
Tell us about a problem
If something does not work for you, or you need information in another format, please contact us and tell us the page and what happened. We will look into it and tell you what we can do.
